Hattiesburg Zoo

With around 75 different species of animals from around the world and several different ways to engage with the critters, the Hattiesburg Zoo is a one-of-a-kind experience.


At the zoo, you’ll be able to:

  • Pet a sloth up close and personal.
  • Feed a giraffe.
  • Hop in a petting zoo with creatures from Africa or Australia.
  • Snap pictures of the creatures in their exhibits.


On top of the fun variety of wildlife at this zoo, you can also experience more adventurous activities. The High Ropes course is a fun adventure where you can test your strength and your courage.

The University of Southern Mississippi may not have too much for you to do on your average morning, but sometimes just riding around campus and touring some of the classically-designed buildings can make for a fun afternoon.
